Review: internet and measuring
Let us review Units 10 and 11. On the internet we use a search engine and type a keyword. We ask a grown-up first and keep our password secret. Because gives the reason and so gives the result. We measure small things in centimetres and big things in metres: 100 cm make 1 m. We weigh light things in grams and heavy things in kilograms: 1,000 g make 1 kg. We ask: How tall is it? How long is it? How heavy is it? And we answer: It is 20 metres tall. It weighs 3 kilograms.

We need information about giraffes.
We can ask our teacher to help us go online.
Then we type the keyword giraffe in the search engine.
I read that a giraffe can be about 5 metres tall.
That is taller than our classroom door, so we must draw it big!
Hoda and Zeyad made a poster about giraffes. They needed information so they used a search engine with their teacher. They did not tell any website their names. A giraffe can weigh more than 800 kilograms. A baby giraffe is about 180 centimetres tall when it is born. The children wrote the facts in their own words.
Review quiz show. The grown-up asks ten quick questions (What is a keyword? How many cm make a metre? What do you say if a stranger writes to you?). The child answers and gets one point for each right answer. Then the child asks the grown-up five questions.
