The textbook has the story “Yetti xazinaning biri” (One of the seven treasures) by Hilola Hamdamova, about choosing a profession and the value of work. We do not retell it; we read our own text. A profession (kasb) is a person’s regular work (doctor, teacher, programmer). A craft (hunar) is work needing skilled hands (pottery, carpentry). A cluster is a way of writing related words around a central word like a spider’s web. Every profession is needed in society, so all deserve respect.

“The professions fair”. At our school parents presented their professions. Nodir’s mother is a nurse: she showed us how to bandage a finger. Layli’s father is a programmer: he explained how a simple computer game is made. A gardener grandfather brought a box of apple seedlings and gave one to every class. At the end the director said: “Every profession is one brick of a house; if one is missing, the house stays unfinished.” That day we understood that every profession deserves respect.
Cluster: in the centre “kasb”; around it – nurse, programmer, gardener, potter, carpenter, driver.
Работа в классе
“Profession cluster”: around the word “kasb” on the board children add a profession and its tool (e.g. doctor – stethoscope).
