Объяснение
The textbook has Part 2 of the story “Bir hovli qush” by Muhabbat Hamidova, in which two brothers hold different views about birds. We do not retell it; we read our own text. In a debate everyone states his opinion with evidence and does not interrupt others. Phrases like “Menimcha ..., chunki ...” (I think ... because ...) and “Fikringizga qo‘shilmayman, chunki ...” (I do not agree, because ...) help. Birds are useful to nature: many eat insect pests, and some spread seeds.
Примеры
“Are birds freeloaders?”. Looking at the birds from the window my little brother said: “They eat our grain and do nothing.” I said: “I think it is not so, because in spring they pick and eat the grubs in our garden.” He thought and said: “Then it’s fair to give them grain.” We found information about birds in a book and read it. The largest bird is the ostrich, which does not fly, and the hummingbird is among the smallest birds. Our debate ended without a quarrel and both of us learned something new.
Debate rules: 1) give evidence; 2) do not interrupt; 3) respect other opinions.
