Объяснение

The textbook has the poem “Baxtimizning timsoli” (The symbol of our happiness) by Temur Ubaydullo, in which the poet addresses the flag and praises it. We do not retell the poem. An address (murojaat) is speaking directly to a thing or person in a poem: “Ey Vatanim!” (O my homeland!). The State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan was approved on 18 November 1991. It has three colours, blue, white and green, with thin red stripes between them, and shows a crescent and 12 stars at the top. The flag is a state symbol; we treat it with respect.

“Flag-raising ceremony”. On Monday there was a flag-raising ceremony at our school. We lined up and stood in silence. Our teacher says that blue reminds us of the clear sky, white of peace and green of the renewal of nature. Looking at the flag I thought: “O my flag, we will always respect you!” My classmates were proud in the same way.
Address: “Ey bayroqim!” (O my flag!). Date of approval: 18 November 1991.
