Объяснение

Manners (odob) mean respect for elders, kindness to younger ones, pleasant speech and politeness. The author of the textbook story “Odob” is Muhabbat Hamidova, a journalist who worked many years for a children’s magazine. The story shows a child’s bad manners in work and speech. We do not repeat it; we read our own text. Courtesy words: salom (hello), rahmat (thanks), marhamat (please, go ahead), iltimos (please), uzr (sorry).

Примеры
“Saying sorry takes courage”. Jamshid was playing near the gate. When an old neighbour passed with her bag, Jamshid’s ball hit her. At first Jamshid answered rudely: “You were in the way.” Then he remembered his mother’s words “What is good manners?”. He went to the woman and said: “Forgive me, auntie, may I carry your bag?” The woman smiled: “A well-mannered child is the jewel of the home.”
Polite expressions: “Kechiring” (forgive me), “Marhamat” (please, go ahead), “Rahmat” (thank you).
