Winter similes

Textbook: Part 2, pp. 44–47
ЦельKnow what a tashbeh (simile) is; make sentences about winter with similes.
Новые слова
simile, comparison · tashbehhoarfrost · qirovsnowflake · qorparchabitter cold · qahraton
Объяснение

A tashbeh (simile) compares one thing to another: “snow is cotton”, “ice is a mirror”. Comparison makes speech vivid and moving. The textbook has the poem “Qish tashbehlari” (Winter similes) by Dilshod Rajab, where the poet compares winter to various things. Dilshod Rajab wrote many poetry books for children. We do not quote his lines; we read our own text. Comparison is often expressed with the endings “-day”, “-dek” or the words “kabi”, “singari” (like).

Примеры
“White winter”. At dawn the yard was covered with white snow. The snow was soft like cotton, and the hoarfrost on it glittered like powdered glass. Snowflakes fell from the sky like white butterflies. Ice drops on tree branches hung like crystal candles. Though the bitter cold reddened our noses, we made a snowman and were happy. Winter is frosty, but beautiful.
Comparisons: snow – cotton, snowflake – butterfly, ice drop – crystal candle.
