Объяснение
A craft (hunar) is a skill learned and done by hand: baking, carpentry, pottery, metal engraving. The textbook has the poem “Hunarning hidi qanaqa?” (What does a craft smell like?) by the Italian writer Gianni Rodari, famous for “The Adventures of Cipollino”. His poem says that each craftsman has his own smell. We do not retell the poem; we read our own text. A person who works has a clean, honest smell.
Примеры
“Smells of my neighbourhood”. In the morning I walk through our neighbourhood to school. The smell of hot bread comes from the tandir bakery. The smell of fresh planks and shavings spreads from carpenter Uncle Rustam’s workshop. The florist aunt has filled her counter with roses. The mechanic’s clothes smell of machine oil. I thought: these are all smells of work. When I grow up I will learn a craft well too.
A hunarmand is a master of their craft. People say a person who has mastered a craft never goes hungry.
