Explanation

Masculine nouns add -Ρ‹: стол β†’ столы́. Feminine nouns change -Π° to -Ρ‹ and -я to -ΠΈ: маши́на β†’ ΠΌΠ°ΡˆΠΈΜΠ½Ρ‹. Neuter nouns change -ΠΎ to -Π°: окно́ β†’ о́кна. After the letters Π³, ΠΊ, Ρ…, ΠΆ, ш, Ρ‡, Ρ‰ we never write Ρ‹, we write ΠΈ: кни́га β†’ кни́ги, ру́чка β†’ ру́чки, ΠΊΠ»ΡŽΡ‡ β†’ ΠΊΠ»ΡŽΡ‡ΠΈΜ. Some words are exceptions: я́блоко β†’ я́блоки. The stress often moves in the plural: Π΄ΠΎΠΌ β†’ дома́, окно́ β†’ о́кна. So learn each plural together with its word, and use э́ти with it.
