At the table and in the cafe
In a cafe use вы with the waiter. To order say Мне … , пожа́луйста, “to me …, please”: Мне суп и чай, пожа́луйста. Ко́фе never changes, so two coffees is Два ко́фе, пожа́луйста. Ask for more with ещё: Ещё хлеб, пожа́луйста. At the end ask for the bill: Счёт, пожа́луйста. Before eating we say Прия́тного аппети́та! (“Enjoy your meal!”), and the answer is Спаси́бо, и вам! The letters сч in счёт sound like one long щ.

Play a cafe with a friend. One of you is the waiter, the other is the guest. Write a small menu of ten items in Russian. The guest asks for the menu, orders food and a drink, asks for ещё, asks for the bill and says thank you. Then change roles.
