فِيه (fīh) · there is, there areمَفِيش (mafīsh) · there is not, there are noneفِيه إِيه؟ (fīh ēh?) · what is there?مَعَنْدِيش (maʿandīsh) · I don't haveمَعَنْدَكْش (maʿandaksh) · you don't have (to a man)مَعَنْدِكِيش (maʿandikīsh) · you don't have (to a woman)
Explanation
فِيه (fīh) means «there is» and «there are». Say فِيه كُرْسِي هِنَا, «there is a chair here». The opposite is مَفِيش (mafīsh), «there is not». For a question, raise your voice: فِيه شَاي؟ «is there tea?». To say «I don't have», put ma- before عَنْد and -sh after it: مَعَنْدِيش. It is مَعَنْدَكْش to a man and مَعَنْدِكِيش to a woman. This ma- … -sh frame is typical Egyptian.
