Explanation
To ask where someone is from, say min สพayn สพanta to a man and min สพayn สพanti to a woman. Min means โfromโ and สพayn means โwhereโ. Question words come back in unit 12; for now learn the whole question. Answer with a pronoun, min and the country: สพanฤ min miแนฃr. Before ุงูู, ู ูู takes a fatha: สพanฤ mina l-สพurdun, โI am from Jordanโ. You can also give your nationality: สพanฤ สพurdunฤซ. For other people use huwa, hiya, hum or hunna in the same sentence.
Interview. Ask family or friends where they are from, in Arabic. If nobody speaks Arabic, play both parts: choose a name from unit 7 and a country from this unit. Write three lines with all the vowels: ismฤซ โฆ, สพanฤ min โฆ, สพanฤ โฆฤซ. Read the lines aloud.
