Explanation
Water can be a liquid, a solid or a gas. Water in a glass or a river is a liquid: we can pour it. When water is very cold it becomes ice. Ice is a solid. When water is very hot it makes steam. Steam is a gas. Waves in the sea can be high or low. Sounds today: oi in coin and oil, oy in boy and toys.
Worked examples
Look at the sea. The waves are high on one side and low on the other side. Say: The waves are high. The waves are low.
