GoalSum up data and diagrams.
New words
chart · diagrammamean · o‘rta arifmetikintersection · kesishmaparallel · parallel
Explanation
To recap: data are shown in tables, bar or line (strip) charts or graphs; mean = sum : number of values; frequency – how many times a result occurs; in a Venn diagram the intersection holds the elements of both sets; in a rectangle opposite sides are parallel and adjacent sides are perpendicular.
Worked examples
Donations: 12 000, 8 000, 15 000, 10 000, 5 000 sum. The total is 50 000 sum and the mean is 10 000 sum.
45 pupils: music club 28, dance club 19, both 7. At least one: 28 + 19 − 7 = 40; neither: 45 − 40 = 5.
Class activity
“Quiz”: teams take turns answering questions on charts, the mean, frequency and Venn diagrams.
