Explanation

To ask where a thing is: “Where’s the doll?” Three words help us answer: in, on, under. “It’s under the table.”

Worked examples
— Where’s the ball? — It’s under the bed.
— Where’s the book? — It’s on the table.
Class activity

“Where’s Teddy?”: the teacher puts a teddy bear in, on or under a box. Children say “It’s in / on / under the box.” Then children give the teacher instructions.
