Explanation

When we meet Grandma: “Hello, Grandma! How are you?” Answer: “I’m fine, thank you.” For the English d, the tongue tip touches just behind the top teeth and we use our voice: dad, dog, doll, desk, dolphin.

Worked examples

“Phone call”: children make a phone with their hand and “call” Grandma: “Hello, Grandma! How are you?” Their partner answers.
