Talk time. The sound o

Student’s Book p. 87
GoalEncourage a friend with “You can do it!”; pronounce the sound o (as in dog).
New words
you can do it! · sen uddalaysan!well done! · barakalla!octopus · sakkizoyoqbox · quti
Explanation

When a friend finds something hard, we encourage them: “You can do it!” When they succeed: “Well done!” The English short o (dog, box, hot, octopus) is said short, with the mouth open wide.

Worked examples
— I can’t jump! — Try again. You can do it! — Look, I can jump! — Well done!
Tongue twister: “A dog on a box, a frog on a rock.”
