ICT for digital projects: money, rides and design

Here is a story about an explorer in another country who builds financial technology, which means using digital tools to make money services easier. Many minibuses in her city were old and let out a lot of smoke, called emissions. Electric minibuses pollute less, but they cost a lot. Most of the drivers were women who own a small business and could not easily get a bank loan. A loan is money borrowed and paid back, usually with a little extra. The explorer’s company made loans simpler and faster. When the loan is approved, the owner receives a digital token, which she can use only with an approved seller, for example a seller of electric vehicles. Then she pays back a little each month from what her business earns. All the records travel as text messages, so no internet is needed. This is an idea, and you do not need to remember any names; what matters is how a digital tool can solve a real problem.
