Explanation
Now your group chooses how to tell its story. A poster is good for a quick message on a wall. A presentation is good for talking to a group, one idea per slide. A web page is good when you want to share with people far away and include sound or video. Whatever you choose, sketch the layout on paper first. Write the story. Decide who does which role. Then share it with the class. After sharing, reflect: How did planning help? What did you enjoy about working as a group? What are you most proud of? What was the best feature of your work, and what would you change next time?

Worked examples
A group wants to remind the school about saving water. They choose a poster, because the message is short and will hang in the corridor. They sketch it first with a big picture of a tap and a short line.
Another group wants to tell relatives in another country about Egyptian bees. They choose a web page with a heading, three subheadings, a video of a hive and a few photographs. Relatives can open it any time.
During the talk, Rahma says what her role was and Malak says hers. When they finish they reflect: ‘Planning saved us time. Our best feature was the big picture. Next time we will practise more.’
Class activity
Sketch and share. In your group choose a format (poster, presentation or web page) for your story. On paper draw the layout: show where the heading, the main picture, the text and any other features go. Write the story in six short lines. Say who has which role and what each person is best at. Share with another group and ask them to name the best feature. Then write three sentences of reflection: what planning gave you, what you are proud of, and what you would change.
Practice
1
Which format is best for sharing a story with people far away, with sound and video?
A web page.
2
Why sketch the layout on paper first?
It plans where everything goes before the final work.
3
Name one question to ask when you reflect on group work.
For example: how did planning help us? or what are we proud of?
4
A group writes its story in 6 lines and each member writes 2 lines. How many members?
