Darslikda Ikar va Dedal haqidagi yunon afsonasi bor (Dedal – usta, Ikar – uning o‘g‘li). Men afsonani o‘z so‘zlarim bilan, qisqartirib, mavzuga mos holda yozdim. Afsonada ehtiyotkorlik va ota nasihatiga quloq solishning ahamiyati ko‘rsatiladi. Hikoya Past Simple da yoziladi. Ehtiyot bo‘lish bo‘yicha: «You should listen to advice», «You shouldn’t fly too high.» Afsona – haqiqiy voqea emas, qadimgi xalq hikoyasi; undan ibrat olamiz.
