Объяснение

A rivoyat is a short, usually instructive story passed from mouth to mouth. Unlike a fairy tale it seems closer to reality. The textbook has a rivoyat called “Do‘stlik yo‘lagi” (The path of friendship) about the relationship of two neighbours. We do not repeat it; we read our own rivoyat. A neighbour is the person closest to our home; a good neighbour is as valuable as one’s own household.

Примеры
“The little door in the wall”. In the old days two neighbours lived separated by a high wall. One spring one of them passed a bowl of cherries over the wall to the other. In return the other passed hot bread. As days went by, they began chatting over the wall. One day together they opened a small door in the middle of the wall. “A wall does not separate; the heart does,” they said, and never closed the door.
Lesson of the rivoyat: kind treatment unites people.
