Explanation

You know مَاء (water), شَاي (tea) and عِنَب (grapes). New drinks: قَهْوَة (coffee) and عَصِير (juice). Fruit is فَاكِهَة. In Arabic the fruit word names the fruit in general: تُفَّاح means “apples”. For one single piece, add ة: تُفَّاحَة is “one apple”, مَوْزَة is “one banana”. A piece is feminine, but the general word is treated as masculine: التُّفَّاح أَحْمَر (apples are red), and تُفَّاحَة حَمْرَاء (a red apple).
