Explanation
Add the same endings to فِي (in) to say “in it”. A house is masculine: الْبَيْت كَبِير وَفِيه حَدِيقَة. A flat is feminine: الشُّقَّة صَغِيرَة وَفِيهَا غُرْفَتَان. The endings also work with عِنْد: عِنْدَه (he has), عِنْدَهَا (she has), عِنْدَنَا (we have). Use the describing words وَاسِع، ضَيِّق، مُرِيح and مُرَتَّب. For a feminine noun add ـَة: غُرْفَة مُرَتَّبَة.

Class activity
Describe your home in six sentences. Say if it is spacious or narrow, comfortable and tidy. Use فِيه or فِيهَا for two rooms, عِنْدَنَا for something your family has, and عِنْدَه or عِنْدَهَا for a friend.
