Explanation
We count with numbers. One, two, three, four, five. Six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Touch your fingers as you count. You have ten fingers. Five are on each hand.

Show seven fingers. Say: seven.
Class activity
Finger count. Show one finger and say ‘one’. Show two fingers and say ‘two’. Go up to ten. Then count steps to the door, spoons on a table or stones in the yard.
