Look at a torch with an adult. Name the parts you can see. Which part makes the light?
The cells, the lamp (bulb), the case and the switch. The lamp makes the light.

Draw a circuit with a cell, two wires and a lamp. Colour the wires.
A closed loop: cell, wire, lamp, wire back to the cell.

Tell a grown-up what a complete circuit is.
A complete circuit is a loop with no gaps, so electricity can flow all the way round.

Trace a circuit picture with your finger. Say the parts as you go.
