Review: Term 2
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Find one thing at home made of a natural material and one made of a made material. Say what each is made of and why it is a good choice.
For example: a wooden spoon (natural, hard, not too hot to hold); a plastic cup (made, waterproof, light).
2
With an adult, put an ice cube in a cup of warm water and an ice cube in a cup of cold water. Which melts first? Say what you kept the same.
The ice in warm water melts first. Keep the same: the size of the ice cubes, the size of the cups, the amount of water.
3
Draw yourself as a baby, as you are now, and as a grown-up. Write one thing that changes and one thing that stays the same.
Changes: height, teeth, what you can do. Stays the same: you are still you, the same person, with the same fingerprints.
4
Make a block graph of the legs of five animals you know. Which bar is the tallest?
Check that each animal is in the right column, for example: 0 legs snake, 2 legs hen, 4 legs cat, 6 legs ant, 8 legs spider.
