Review: Term 1
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Draw a habitat you like. Draw three living things in it and tell a grown-up what each one needs.
For example, a pond: duck, frog, reed. Needs: food, water, air and shelter; plants need light, water, air and soil.
2
Find three things at home made of rock or stone. What are they used for?
For example: tiles, a statue, a garden path, a chalk stick.
3
Tell a grown-up two things your family can do to care for the environment.
For example: recycle paper and plastic, use less paper, plant a tree, pick up litter.
4
Find three objects you push and three you pull. Tell a grown-up whether each needs a big force or a small force.
For example: push a door or a toy car; pull a drawer, a kite string. Heavy things need a bigger force.
5
Roll a ball gently and then with a big push. Say what is different, and what you kept the same.
The big push goes faster and further. Same ball, same floor.
