Explanation
Exercises build strength, speed, flexibility and agility. Running develops speed. Push-ups (otjimaniye) build strength. The long jump helps balance, and skipping rope makes leg muscles strong.
Worked examples
Girls do push-ups against a bench; boys do them from the floor.
Class activity
“Exercise stations”: 4 stations — running on the spot, skipping rope, standing long jump, 3–5 push-ups. Groups spend 1 minute at each. Warm up first, and use a wide space with no obstacles.
