When a word cannot be split

Textbook: Part 2, topic 9, pp. 30–43
ЦельKnow which words are not split and that a single letter must not be left alone on a line.
Новые слова
one-syllable · bir bo‘g‘inlimother · onaapricot · o‘rikgrapes · uzum
Объяснение

One-syllable words are not split: sinf (class), dars (lesson), tosh (stone). A single vowel at the start of a word may not stay alone at the end of the previous line: not o- / nam. So two-syllable words like ona, o‘rik (apricot), uzum (grapes), ahil (friendly) are not split but carried over whole.

Примеры
Wrong: o- / na. Right: ona (the whole word goes to the new line).
Wrong: o‘- / rik, u- / zum. Right: o‘rik, uzum.
Работа в классе

“Can it be split?”: the teacher says a word. If it can be split, children open their arms; if not, they join their hands. Then they explain why.
