Greetings and introductions

Copy these phrases from right to left, with all vowels, and say each one aloud: السَّلَام عَلَيْكُم، مَسَاء الْخَيْر، كَيْف حَالُك، مَعَ السَّلَامَة.

Write what you say in Arabic: (a) you meet a friend in the morning; (b) he asks how you are and you feel fine; (c) he gives you a cup of tea.

Match each phrase with its reply. 1 صَبَاح الْخَيْر · 2 شُكْرًا · 3 السَّلَام عَلَيْكُم · 4 مَسَاء الْخَيْر. A مَسَاء النُّور · B عَفْوًا · C وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّلَام · D صَبَاح النُّور.

Write a talk of six short lines between Mona and Hassan, who meet in the evening. Use one polite word and one goodbye.

Read aloud and translate: مَرْحَبًا، اِسْمِي هِنْد. تَشَرَّفْنَا.

Choose five names from lesson 3 and write each one with all vowels after ismī. Say them aloud.
