Explanation

We can put what we learned about our body on a tree of health. Each leaf holds one fact. The skin protects us from germs and the Sun’s rays. Bones and muscles work together to move us and protect soft organs. The stomach squeezes and mixes food. The heart pumps blood round the body. To write a short report, follow four steps. First, plan: think of the most important facts and list them. Second, draft: write your ideas in full sentences, with an opening sentence, the facts, and a closing sentence. Third, revise: read your work with a friend and use a checklist. Are the sentences complete? Do they come in a sensible order? Is the spelling correct? Fourth, publish: write the final copy neatly and add a picture.
