Show and draw the parts of a river basin (source, tributary, mouth, watershed) in a diagram.
The diagram should have the source at the top, tributaries at the sides, the mouth at the bottom and the watershed on the basin edge.

In the atlas find the sources and mouths of the Syr Darya, Amu Darya and Zarafshan.
Syr Darya – from the Tien Shan; Amu Darya – from the Pamirs; Zarafshan – from the Zarafshan glacier; the first two once flowed into the Aral Sea, and the Zarafshan ends in the sands before reaching the Amu Darya.

Because the current is strong and the bank can be slippery and deep – there is a risk of drowning.
