Explanation
Instruments are grouped by how they are played. String instruments have strings: dutor (two-string lute), rubob (lute), g‘ijjak (fiddle), chang (zither). Wind instruments are blown: nay (flute), surnay (oboe-like pipe), karnay (long trumpet). Percussion is struck: doira (frame drum). Keyboard instruments have keys you press: the piano.

Class activity
“Four corners”: each corner of the room gets a family name. The teacher shows a picture of an instrument and children run to the right corner.
