Explanation
In the A B C song the English letters from A to Z are sung to a tune. The tune helps us remember the letters. We can sing it slowly or fast — tempo is the speed of the music.
Worked examples
First slowly: A — B — C — D; then fast: A-B-C-D
Class activity
“Letter cards”: each child gets one letter. When their letter is sung, the child stands up and sits down again. Then the song is sung faster.
