Looking back at Term 1: my portfolio paragraph
Look back at Term 1. In Unit 1 you learned about digital habits, adverbs of frequency and emails. In Unit 2 you learned about learning styles, can and can’t, and the present continuous. In Unit 3 you read about role models and used the past simple. In Unit 4 you made smart choices with if + will and should. In Unit 5 you made plans with going to. In Unit 6 you used must and mustn’t and wrote a post. Your portfolio paragraph is 60 to 80 words (up to 100 if you can) and has six ideas: my digital habits, how I learn, a role model, a smart choice, my dream, and one rule I keep. Use the present simple, the past simple, going to and must. Join ideas with because, but and so.

This term I learned a lot. I use my laptop for homework, but I never share my password. I learn best with pictures, so I draw mind maps. I admire my grandmother because she never gave up. Last week I made a smart choice: I told the truth. I’m going to be a teacher. I must keep the rules in my class and protect my school.

Make a portfolio page. Write your paragraph on a clean page, check the grammar and punctuation with a grown-up, and add a title. Keep it for next term. You can draw a small picture of something you are proud of.
