Action words tell what we do. We hop, jump and skip. We dance and run. We sleep at night. Say the word and do the action.

Say what the grown-up does. Then do it.
Which action is slow? Which is fast? Run and then walk.
Class activity

Action game. A grown-up calls out: hop, skip, jump, dance, run, sleep. You do the action. When the grown-up says ‘sleep’, lie down and close your eyes. Then change places.
