The Internet is the network of networks; the WWW is the web page service on it. Email is also an Internet service but not the WWW.

1) TCP splits the information into packets; 2) IP finds a route for each; 3) the packets travel to the receiver; 4) TCP checks and assembles them.

Why is it useful to look for https and the padlock before using a site? Write briefly.
Because https encrypts the connection, so others cannot easily see the data sent. But the padlock does not guarantee that the site is trustworthy.
