Explanation

The test covers the first part of the chapter: writing and calculating formulas, relative and absolute references, a reference to another sheet, text and logical functions, and the graph of a function. Each task is done in Excel and then the result is also checked by hand. Before handing in, go through the checklist: does the formula begin with “=”, are the brackets paired, is there a $ in the references that need it, is the text in quotation marks, has the chart been given a title. Analyse any error value by its sign: #DIV/0!, #NAME?, #VALUE!, #REF!. Put your own name in the file name, but do not enter personal data (phone, address).

Worked examples
Sample variant, task 1: calculate =(8-2)^2/4. Solution: the bracket gives 6; 6^2 = 36; 36/4 = 9. Task 2: in cell B2 of the “Jami” sheet take the sum of B2 on the “Yanvar” sheet and B2 on the “Fevral” sheet: =Yanvar!B2+Fevral!B2.
Task 3: tabulate y = x² – 2 for x from –2 to 2 (step 1): y = 2, –1, –2, –1, 2 (formula =A2^2-2). A smooth scatter chart gives a parabola with vertex (0; –2). Task 4: in =IF(LEN(A1)>5,"uzun","qisqa") with A1 = “Excel”, LEN = 5, the condition is false and the result is “qisqa”.
Class activity

“Two pairs of eyes”: students swap their finished tests and look for mistakes using the checklist; then everyone discusses the most common mistake together.
