Numbers in our world
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Find a number on a box or package at home. Tell a grown-up what it tells.
For example: the weight, the price or how many are inside.
2
Learn your house number and a grown-up’s phone number. Say them to a grown-up.
The child says both numbers correctly.
3
Write three numbers from a shop sign or a menu: a price, a time and an amount. Say what each tells.
For example: 4 pounds is a price; 6:00 is a time; 2 kg is an amount.
4
Draw a clock and show the time you wake up on a school day.
Any sensible time, for example 7:00.
