Explanation

This lesson reviews words from Units 1 and 2 in new sentences. In a gap text, read the whole sentence first, think about the kind of word that fits (a noun, a verb, an adjective), then choose from the box and cross out the word you used. Check that the sentence makes sense. For the paragraph about staying safe online, plan three parts: a topic sentence (Staying safe online is important because …), two or three tips with passive or modal passive (Passwords should be kept secret; Strange links should not be opened) and a concluding sentence. Remember the vocabulary of the unit: privacy, secure, setting, password, data and trusted adult. Write about 60 to 80 words (up to 100 if you can) and read it aloud for mistakes.

PartExample
