Erythrocytes, leukocytes and immunity
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Make a table comparing erythrocytes and leukocytes (nucleus, colour, function, number).
Erythrocyte: no nucleus, red, carries oxygen, 4–6 million. Leukocyte: nucleated, colourless, protection, 6–8 thousand.
2
Write the antigens of blood groups I, II, III, IV.
I – none; II – A; III – B; IV – A and B.
3
Show kinds of immunity in a diagram.
Innate (inherited); acquired (after illness; after vaccination); antibodies from the mother – temporary protection.
4
Write a 4-sentence note to a friend about vaccination: why needed and where received.
Vaccination protects from disease; given at the clinic free per the doctor’s schedule; it is safe and gives immune memory; ask the doctor if in doubt.
5
If there are signs of anaemia, what should be done and what can be said about diet?
See a doctor, do not take medicines yourself; complete varied food (meat, legumes, greens) helps.
