Ohm's law for a series RLC circuit
Answers are for parents and teachers.

R = 24 Ω, X_L = 50 Ω, X_C = 40 Ω. What is Z in Ω?

ω = 1000 rad/s, L = 50 mH and C = 25 μF. What are X_L and X_C in Ω?
X_L = 1000·0.05 = 50 Ω; X_C = 1/(1000·25·10⁻⁶) = 40 Ω

Why does only R release heat in the circuit, not L and C?
In L and C the energy is stored in the field and returned to the source, so the mean power is zero.
