Our shop play
Discover Term 2: Axis 3, Chapter 3
GoalAct a shop with a shopkeeper and customers, using polite words and the right clothes.
New words
role · the person you act in a playpolite · kind and respectful in the way we speak
Explanation
Let us act a shop. Choose a place, like a bakery. Choose roles: a shopkeeper and customers. Think about what happens: the customer says hello, looks, asks the price, pays, and says thank you. Use polite words such as please, thank you and here you are. Clothes and accessories help us look like our role: a shopkeeper might wear a cap or an apron, a customer might carry a bag or a purse. Everyone helps and everyone listens.
Worked examples
Customer: Hello, please may I have two loaves? Shopkeeper: Here you are. It is 2 pounds. Customer: Thank you!
