Doing a project
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Write the four stages of a project and one thing done in each, for the project “Our class plants”.
Answers differ. Check: start (goal), plan (questions, sources, roles), do (collect facts, make text/table/chart/slides), evaluate (judge and improve).
2
Draw a bar chart on paper for invented numbers: books 9, pens 6, rulers 4. Which bar is tallest and how many items in all?
Books are tallest. 9 + 6 + 4 = 19 items.
3
Write a credit line in your own words for a fact you learned from a teacher.
Answers differ, e.g. “Source: my science teacher, in class.”
4
Explain why copying a paragraph without credit is wrong. Give two reasons.
It is dishonest, because the work belongs to someone else; and others cannot check where the fact came from.
5
Evaluate a project you did this year with the four questions. Write one sentence for each.
Answers differ. Check four sentences: goal, facts and credit, fair sharing, improvement.
