Explanation
We have feelings. When we smile, we are happy. When we cry, we are sad. When we want food, we are hungry. If we do something wrong, we say: I am sorry. The bears are not happy, but Goldilocks says sorry. Then they are all happy.
Worked examples
Goldilocks wakes up. She sees the three bears. She says: I am sorry. The bears are kind. They say: It is OK. Now Goldilocks is happy. The bears are happy, too. They all have breakfast together.
Omar
Oh no! I dropped your pencil. I am sorry.
Malak
It is OK. Thank you for saying sorry.
Now you. Make a happy face. Make a sad face. Say: I am happy. I am sad.
Class activity
Feelings faces. A grown-up says a feeling: happy, sad, hungry, sorry. You show it with your face and body. Then play ‘sorry’: a grown-up says what went wrong and you say the right words: I am sorry.
