Logic circuits and practice in logic
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Count and name the elements in the circuit of A ∧ ¬B ∨ C.
3: an inverter (¬B), a conjunctor (A ∧ ¬B) and a disjunctor (… ∨ C).
2
Build the full table of (A ∧ ¬B) ∨ C for (A,B,C) from 000 to 111.
0, 1, 0, 1, 1, 1, 0, 1
3
Circuit: A and B go to a disjunctor, whose output and C go to a conjunctor. Write the expression and evaluate it for A = 1, B = 0, C = 1.
(A ∨ B) ∧ C = (1 ∨ 0) ∧ 1 = 1.
4
Write “If the light is on and the door is closed, the room is bright” as an expression.
A = light on, B = door closed, C = room bright: (A ∧ B) => C.
5
Are ¬(A ∧ B) and ¬A ∨ ¬B the same? Check with a table.
Both give 1, 1, 1, 0 – they are the same.
