Accounts, passwords and good messages
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Explain the locker idea for an account in two sentences.
The locker number is the user name and the key is the password. Everyone may know the number, but only the owner has the key.
2
Write three features of a strong password.
Long; a mix of letters, numbers and signs; hard to guess; secret; not reused.
3
Draw the five-box story: sign up, check, sign in, work, sign out.
sign up→check→sign in→work→sign out
sign up → check → sign in → work → sign out.
4
Write a paper message from an invented “Pupil E” to an invented “Teacher B” with To, Subject and Body.
Answers differ. Check for an address, a clear subject, a greeting, one clear point, thanks, and nothing private.
5
A message says: “Send your password to keep your account.” What do you do and why?
Do not answer and show it to a grown-up. A password is secret, and this is a fraud message.
