Time, plants and our gallery
Discover Term 2: Axis 4, Chapter 3
GoalShow my day in order, give a plant what it needs, and share my favourite art kindly.
New words
timeline · things in the order they happen, with their timesspace · room to grow without touching others
Explanation
We can show our day with a timeline: five things in order, with the time on the clock. We can also show how to care for a plant in steps. Put it in a pot with enough soil. Put it near a window so it gets sunlight. Give it water. Give it space, so it is not too close to another plant. At the end of the year we make a class gallery of our favourite art. We say what we like and one way to make it better. With a grown-up, read the song on page 147 of the book and draw the part you like best.
Worked examples

| 8:00 at night | goes to sleep |
Four steps to care for a plant.
Nour says to a friend: “I like the bright colours in your picture. Maybe you could add a tree.” That is kind feedback.
Class activity
Class gallery: choose your favourite art from this year. Show it with a name card. Say what you like and one thing you could do better next time. Then, with a friend’s help, draw a final copy.

For example: I like your colours.
