Uzoqdagi bitta narsa uchun: «What’s that? — It’s a snail.» Uzoqdagi ko‘p narsalar uchun: «What are those? — They’re butterflies.» «That» — bitta, «those» — ko‘p. Javobda ham son bir xil bo‘ladi: it’s (bitta), they’re (ko‘p). Yaqindagi narsa uchun this/these: «What’s this?», «What are these?»
