Inline: one element. Internal: one page. External: a separate file for many pages; best for a large site.

A rule has the lines “font-size: 18px” and “color: blue;” with nothing between them. What is missing and why does it matter?
A semicolon after 18px; without it the browser cannot tell where the first line ends, so both lines may be ignored.
