Three tricks, DDoS and a safety plan
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Write one invented example of each of the three tricks (no real names) and underline one warning sign.
Any invented messages that match the tricks are correct, for example spear phishing: “I saw your club photo, click.”
2
Explain with the street comparison why a DDoS attack blocks real visitors.
Too many fake cars (requests) fill the street (server), so real cars (visitors) cannot pass.
3
Say why a botnet is not the same as the robots of Week 1.
A botnet is only a group of devices controlled by an attacker, with no robot body doing physical tasks.
4
List four habits for staying safe and the threat each one blocks.
For example: no sharing codes (pretexting); updates (malware); no found drives (baiting); tell a grown-up (all tricks).
